Mary and Patrick have a keen sense of adventure, they have travelled widely, participate in a variety of outdoor pursuits, such as: landscaping, gardening, trekking, kayaking and biking. Both share a love of nature, wholesome foods, books, music, theatre and art. They enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, spiked with perky humour and interesting conversation.
Born in Dunedin, having travelled New Zealand extensively, Mary chose to raise her family in Portobello. Over the last 25 years she has worked as an Interior Designer, Business Owner and Caregiver, she is also passionate about their garden, enjoys entertaining and creating culinary delights.
Patrick, originally from Wellington, served with the NZ Police Force for 28 years, working in Southland and Central Otago districts. Besides being a tour guide operator for their mountain biking and sea kayaking business, Patrick uses his talented skills as a self-employed handyman.
Together, Mary and Patrick have a combined 44 years living on the Peninsula, they have been home hosting and tour guiding for the past 10 years. Both welcome the opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge of the area. As there are many attractions, activities and dining experiences to choose from on the Peninsula and in Dunedin City, we are happy to provide information, give suggestions and make the appropriate bookings for you.

Follow the Peninsula signs from Dunedin along the south side of the harbour, take Portobello Road for some 18km to Portobello, turn right into Beaconsfield Road then continue on to McAuley Road which is opposite a park/children's play ground.
